I don't know how long this is going to continue. I mean, things are actually growing in the garden. Plants that came in small square plastic containers were put in the ground mere weeks ago, and they are thriving. They're triple and quadruple in size. We might actually be getting some nourishment from them soon. The cilantro's ready to go, and I find myself wondering if there are recipes out there for cilantro and red chard.
This is insanity. I'm not sure we'll be able to stop this.
hooray — such a happy garden!
ReplyDeleteour chard has been thriving for better than a year, but cilantro bolts as soon as it heats up. maybe consider seeding for more cilantro — for progressive yields every few weeks (so ironic that hot-weather cuisines favor such a mild-weather herb).
that's a great idea! though we have two bunches, i only photographed one. i think we're thinking two is plenty. but we have a few spots left and i want to see what happens when we try more chard, lettuce, choi and parsley. i know it's late, but i want more lettuce/greens.
ReplyDeleteHow do I subscribe to your blog? I want to get it in my reader or email but can't figure out how! I can't believe I've been missing this for so long!
